Sad 12 Year Old Kitty

Just read about a 12 yr old kitty at Callaway Hills Animal Shelter in New Bloomfield, MO. His owner passed away & he's sad, bewildered & doesn't understand why he's in a cage after all these years. They say he's brokenhearted & not adapting well at all. Anybody live near there who might take him in or even go there & spend some time with him? It's near Columbia.
