Mine has a handle that lays to the side and I pull it up to carry it.  It's perfect for me and it fits in cup holders.  It's tall not wide.  Lol I just noticed that mine has the little animal symbol.  I never noticed it before.  It is on the side.

Re: STANLEY TUMBLER CRAZE

[ Edited ]

I have two Yeti mugs.  Short coffee mug, won't fit in a cup holder, and a large tumbler.  Both gifts from employer.  I bought the Primula jewel tones, and I love it.  Pink jewel tone, and about $7.50.  Ice stays all day in it.  I know, people don't want more travel mugs, but my sister and BIL love theirs.  I wouldn't pay the Stanley price.  Thats just me.  Not judging.

I saw the mobs on TV of Target shoppers clearing out displays of them near Christmas.  Crazy.

Re: STANLEY TUMBLER CRAZE

[ Edited ]

My dad carried a Stanley Cup everyday of his working life (it was called a thermos back then).

All this just verifies what PT Barnam said...."there is a sucker born every minute."   And someone said "there is no accounting for the taste of the American public."

This is why we flew to the moon to get that green cheese and so many bought pet rocks.

Its scary out there folks.

I don't consider myself a sucker because I purchased a Stanley Mug. I work out in the heat, in the car, in Florida and I need a heavy duty way to keep my food and drinks cold. I had a cooler that did not do the job and I ended up splurging on a Yeti cooler to carry in my car. Even though more expensive, the Yeti cooler keeps my food and drinks cold in the car, and the less expensive look-alike cooler is ready to be tossed and I only used it for 8 months.

For people like me I refuse to be caught dead with one in my hands.

Wrong is still wrong just because you benefited from it.

@mspatmac I am a diet coke drinker too. I love my diet coke. I do not drink coffee either. I have not used my Stanley cup for diet coke but that is a good idea. I am happy that you enjoy yours, I enjoy mine too.

@Imaoldhippie I get upset when people judge others on what they think the other person is doing. For instance, I own both Stanley and Yetti Cups but I like the Stanley cup better because it hold my ice longer and is easier to carry.

I work as a RN with a therapy team, and an occupational therapist might recommend such a cup to a compromised patient because of the lid, straw, and easy of carrying the cup.

One never knows why a person does what they do. I suppose I am judging those who judge and I understand in this case there is a young people craze over these cups.

It just irks me when people are being singled out as idiots for spending more money, or a sucker. I am far from an idiot and a sucker, as are my coworkers.

I like my swig 18 ounce mugs. They have a handle and with my disability easy to use. Plus they have all kinds of cute patterns. I don't know or understand the Stanley cup craze. It's just a plain insulated tumbler.
