I just was watching the clip from the Academy Awards for Stanley Donen that you had noted in this post. Enjoyed it - now I know why I enjoyed his movies so much. Look at him and the other talents that made up the his movies (as he noted). Don't think I saw or heard him much about him before. Only knew of him from credits and others mentioning him. I will have to read some more about him.

 

I watched several interviews with Maggie Smith that followed the Stanley Donen, Academy Award clip. At the rate I am going - it will be time for Libeled Lady soon. I am so glad I am retired. What a life.

Oh Do You Have That Right!

 

That is why I set a reminder for all his movies. In fact Wednesday Manhattan Melodrama is on TCM (at 4:30 AM). It was the first movie Myrna Loy and William Powell starred in together. Clark Gable is also in it and a very young Mickey Rooney.
