Re: ST. PATRICK'S DAY........Will be starting our yearly thread

Is anyone else cooking for St. Pat's Day?

I was going to try the new Trader Joe's Irish bangers & mash, but there was an outcry for corned beef and cabbage.

I still want to get those bangers, they were sold out the other day, the description makes them sound fantastic!

Don't have a Trader Joe's here.  Might have to go to Penn Station place down the road for a Reuben.  Don't believe I have ever had bangers......

Re: ST. PATRICK'S DAY........Will be starting our yearly thread

I got a head start today ,and ordered a sweater that is new. I wanted to make sure I got it.

I miss the old days ,when the Irish show lasted all day long, and they had a lot of new things

We will eat out  tomorrow, even though I bought a corned beef and cabbage at Trade Joes

The Bishop of my diocese gave a dispensation, so we can eat meat tomorrow, because it falls on Fri during lent

@Noel7  we haven't been able to eat meat  on Fri during Lent for   as long as I can recall.  I'm not sure when it started , maybe centuries ago ,for all I know

Thanks, I didn't know that @cherry

My mother was raised RC and we always had fish on Friday.  I'm glad, I love fish and I know so many people who don't. We had a fabulous salmon last night that I got at Costco.
