ST. LOUIS CARDINALS -- ALBERT PUJOLS -- Most Recent Update

Albert Pujols' Agent is supposed to be meeting with the Chicago Cubs today to possibly sign Albert up on their team. They reported it is a good possibility, as the offer is supposed to be a good one. So far, he has met with the Florida Marlins and St. Louis Cardinals. This will be 3 teams wanting him. Believe there are supposed to be 6 teams that want to make him an offer to play on their team.

If he would sign up with the Chicago Cubs....boy that would be a slap in the face for the Cardinals.....since they are one of the biggest rivals the Cardinals have. This rivalry has been going on for years. In past years when the Cubs/Cardinals play each other the games were a total sell out. Have a feeling if he would go with the Cubs, that good rivalry would change.

I'm not sure how the St. Louis Cardinals' owners are taking the Cubs' offer, but believe the Cardinal fans are not happy. And, if he would sign up with the Cardinals again, would they welcome him back with open arms. Hope AP thinks very seriously about this.
