Exactly!  The IRS, The Social Security Administration, The DMV, Employers (past tense), Health Insurance.  No one else needs my social security information !

When you go to a doctor's office with insurance you typically fill out forms (as a new patient) that may ask you this.  I won't put it there.  All they need is My insurer info; group #; Member # and a toll free number the insurer can be reached.  When I signed up for my insurance, they may have asked for it and it was given.  That's it!

No clinic where I've never been, no pharmacy I've never been to, no pop up site, no pharmacy I go to now, has access to my medical records, from which they can glean my social security #.

Re: SS# asked to receive Covid vaccine

DH and I weren't required to give our SSN.

Could there be different requirements for some states?

My daughter received her Covid vaccine shot yesterday through University Healthcare System at a San Antonio site. On the app she had to fill out they asked for her SS#.  The vaccine is free why would they askfor that?  Anyone know or had this happen to them?

Of course it's free for you. SS is paying for it. Woman Wink
