Exciting for me is eating spicy food and risking getting acid reflux.Smiley Surprised

I am often asked by sales clerks if I will be doing anything fun that day.  I have been tempted to spin a tale of adventure😏

Oh, I fully agree, this aggrevates me to no end. My MIL who is 87 asks us this all the time. I guess many people are trying to live vicariously through others. Who knowns, but it is very annoying.

At this point, I think an 'exciting weekend' would put me in the hospital.

I think people assume that when you're retired, the whole world is your oyster. For most of us it's errands, cleaning, shopping, cooking...and then relax from the day.

I feel the same way...and it seems that it's usually the same people who ask this!  What do they want to hear?  I usually say that my weekend was uneventful if I didn't do much.  If my kids come over with the grandson then I can say I did something exciting!  LOL! (to me!).

Once in a while we'll go out to dinner or do something else but I'm usually at home working on something around the house.
