My two backyard birdbaths have been packed full this past week. They seem to be a family of thrashers......not common to my neighborhood. I suspect they have fled a fire zone somewhere north of me.

Interesting.... I guess I dont pay much attention at night....
I remember one time a bird "got one" and it was kinda sad because you could hear the cicada cry out....I know its part of nature but a bit said none-the-less...BUT I DO prefer birds over the cicadas.....

My yard has remained full of all sorts of birds. I have all types of shrubs and the river is just over the hill from me.

There are fewer birds out all day long now, but there are groups of them that come to the feeders during the day. You certainly don't hear them singing now.
