Re: SO CAL IS EXPECTING RAIN!!

[ Edited ]

Good luck everyone, and I wish you rain, rain, rain!!  I am in NoCal, and saw my first rain in a while yesterday.  We have been threatened with a storm tonight... but like I said before, I will believe it when I see it.

How can weather forecasts be so off.?  Never  in my life have I been so disappointed as I have the last couple years.  They tell us rain is coming, then they postpone it a day, then another, then another,  I don't know who gets the rain, but 95% of the time it is not us.

Hopefilly, the rain will continue as predicted!

Re: SO CAL IS EXPECTING RAIN!!

I'm in Oxnard, CA (southern Calif). I'm on my computer in my living room - in front of my window - getting excited. Yes - it does look like it will rain - don't know how much. I just shut off my sprinklers -- so I could save $$$$$$ on my water bill. I bought flood insurance for the 1st time -- also waiting for El Nino.

@Tinkrbl44That is 7 more than we have seen in a while!  LOL!  It rained last night, and I had to stop and wonder if I left the bathroom fan on!  The sound was so foreign to me! LOL!  hahahah.

It is a wonderful sound, just wonderful.  Never thought I would feel that way.  But after the last 5 years.....

My daughter lives in Northern California.  She said this morning that it has been really windy but no rain.

  1. Sunday morning, it's coming down!  I put out some buckets out, and it must have rained quite a bit in the night as they have measurable water.

I am happy for the trees and shrubs that have been suffering since last spring. Last week I planted some drought tolerant plants and sprinkled fertilizer on the roses and other shrubs.  It's wonderful!

Some of you might remember the March Miracle of several years ago. We had no rain, then in March we got hit with a lot of rain. Maybe we'll have another March Miracle. We could use an April Miracle too.
