When the Parkland students led their first march in NYC,

Sir Paul walked with them.  A reporter asked him why he was there.  Paul replied, “I lost a very good friend to gun violence near here.”  

Have always admired him as a thoughtful, sensitive person.

Had a huge crush on him too.

Wishing Paul McCartney a wonderful 80th birthday!  I saw the Beatles in concert when I was a teenager.  I saw Paul in concert about 12 years ago.  The most I ever paid for a concert but more than worth it.

@Pearlee - Same here - have loved Paul since I was 11 and the Beatles were on Ed Sullivan.  I remember wearing my "I Love Paul" button to school!

When are you coming to NY so we can look for him in the Hamptons? LOL!

@twinsister   🤣🤣🤣  Thank you for reminding me! Summer just kind of crept up, didn't  it?  Well, our honey-bun has been on tour so we couldn't have stalked him yet anyway. We'd better get his tour schedule for the next leg of it.  Maybe we can be groupies  er, I mean roadies! 😁

@twinsister  Although we are the same age, I was 12 in Feb of 1964 when they were on the Sullivan show show for the 1st time. My birthday was earlier in 1964 than their appearance.  I already had Beatlemania in 1963, probably from their Meet the Beatles album.

@Pearlee - I had their Meet the Beatles album also, but I probably got it after their Sullivan appearance. I was 11 in February '64, didn't turn 12 till October.  Happy belated "special" Birthday!!  It's been a long time since we were 12!!

@twinsister  Yes it has been. This year's landmark, ending-in-a-zero birthday was difficult to even fathom, but it came and went and -- oh well.  The next one will be innocuous in comparison.
