@MickD, poor Sammie and poor you! It’s going to be a long three months but she will get better each and every day. I know you are exhausted but also happy to have her still with you. It’s all worth it. 🐾❤️

We discovered she has a stapled incision on her front shoulder......wuh?  Probably where the rod was inserted....freaked me out.  Clearly no communication between husband and vet.  I may need to go on Tuesday for her bandage change....jeez!

She's sleeping....I'll post a pic later.

@loveschocolate she is such a good dog.  I know she's trying to get back to normal - retriever style.  I just don't want her to have breakthrough pain.  So if she needs a pain med I'm giving it.  

She had oatmeal for breakfast.  We wrap her meds in ham lunchmeat, and I've been giving her pbj sandwiches.  She's not into the hard dog food.

@ShowMe - Love you!  I hope the weather is warming up.  Did you get your hair cut?????

Good morning ladies ~ I thank you all for your well wishes for HRH.  I called ShowMe the other day and she was feeling about the same...crummy.  She had her cultures down.  That darned back wound!!!!

We are getting ready to take our company to the airport.  Our lives will return to normalcy, not that they are any bother but....

HRH is still in the hospital.  At 89 it's difficult to recover.  At this time, the plan is when he is medically stable, he will need a week or two of rehab to regain his ambulatory strength back.  He still gets "wonky" at times which is to be expected at this time.

Well, I'm off for now.  I cannot tell you how much you all mean to me.  I can tell by those who have not been here much, that you are having your own struggles and whatever they may be, I wish you peace and better days.

@Gooday I am sure praying for HRH.  It's gotta be difficult to get movin again after having surgery at his age.

I hope you can get back to normalcy by resting!

Everyone must be partying.  I'm gonna watch my dvr'd livePD.  Maybe read a book.

Sammie made it upstairs this morning before dawn.  I thought I heard something but wasn't sure.  It took all 3 of us to get her down the stairs...oy!

I thought I lost a contact last night.  It must've been up on the eyeball.  So I put another one in.  Duh, 6 hours later discovered I had 2 in.  Someone needs a drink!

@MickD, not partying here. Been cleaning. Ugh. I hate cleaning because you are never DONE! I need to watch live pd too. I fell asleep on the couch last night, something I never do and missed it. Give Sammie a big kiss from me! 😘
