@loveschocolate ~ to answer your question; yes, our whole family and many friends enjoy horseback riding. You can, too! Just compare it to a steel horse (motorcycle). You guide your horse with your hands (reins) and, your body shifting weight. The horse is also trained to respond to triggers from your feet. You survived the military ~ I know darn well you could master riding a horse! 👍

Dear ShowMe ~ I'm so happy to hear that the grocery delivery is working out so well. What a blessing this service is to you and others who really need it. I'm worried about the weight loss and the spot on your back growing larger. I will pray all the harder ~ and for your safety in getting to your appointments in this weather. Yours sounds much like ours. 70° and sunny yesterday... followed by heavy downpours of rain and gale force winds last night. Brought down two large trees that fell across our driveway. Oldest son, James came with his chainsaw to help hubby clear those away. 30° colder today, dipping into the low teens tonight. Snow expected by Wed. Glad you're all stocked up and I know it's hard to eat when you have no appetite... maybe smaller portions more often? While watching TV. Mindless munching on something healthy with your Ensure. Hugs to you!! ❤️

@Lesa ~ best wishes with the house sale! I hope you get the fair market price, and I know this can be so stressful, but you have the right attitude! 👍 Hope you then find your perfect dream house ~ or build it, if you have lots of patience.

Having slow roasted pulled pork NC-style BBQ with homemade slaw, thick cut French fries and hushpuppies for dinner. I'm a glutton for heartburn, but then... it was hubby's request. Thank goodness for Nexium!

@WaJa61.......hi dear friend.  Thanks for the sweet message.  You know I had a very interesting conversation with my sis this morning while waiting for groceries to be delivered.  She said she thinks in my subconscious that I really am happy I have been losing weight.  That is so untrue, and told her so.  I didn't think she would be trying to analyze me and my thinking.  I am concerned about the loss.  And so is Dr. G. 

Had a call yesterday afternoon from my chemo buddy, Sheri.  She said she went in to see Dr. G and for a treatment last Thursday.....and at that time she said she told him she is concerned about how much weight I have lost.  He told her he would be checking it out and would talk to me about it.  And after he saw how much I had lost on Wednesday, he let it be known he is also concerned about it too.  He did say we can't stop the treatments, and OPDIVO is the only thing I can get.  Yes, smaller meals more often, and the BOOST will help me maintain where I am now.

I too am concerned about the growth on my back.  But will be checking with the infectious disease docs and see what they feel I need to have done....maybe a culture and antibiotics again.  We'll see.  Have to check with them before my next treatment, which is a week from this coming Tuesday.  Dr. G said they can do the culture in his office and then talk to the other docs to see what they recommend.   The culture will let them know if there is any infection again.....

They just gave us the weather......  supposed to start snowing here tomorrow night and will quit some time on Monday morning.   So, I will have to change the appointment again with the retina specialist.  That will be the second time in a row......  It made it up to 23 this afternoon. Then next weekend it is supposed to be in the upper 40s and lower 50s......  Go figure.

Your dinner sounds so good.....  I will be fixing mine in a few minutes.  Fixing some fried chicken from Schnuck's, and will bake a potato in the micro, then load it up.  Have all the fixings for that.  I had the chicken in my order from Schnuck's today.  Yes, I do get hungry, but once it is fixed and start eating, there in lies the problem with finishing a whole meal.

Sorry you lost 2 trees.  That hurts.....

@WaJa61  Happy belated birthday!  Your dinner sounds yuuuuuummy!  Thanks for the prayers for Ana.  I told husband yesterday that we had a prayer chain/circle going. I don't have an update yet as the boys are on a flight back from CO.

Sammie has a new cast.  Her paw and leg are in a straight line, so she's tippy toed.  An orthopedic vet thinks she hyper fixated the ligaments when she landed....like if you were to bend your wrists to brace for a fall and fell on your palms....the ligaments on the underside of the wrist.

So the vet took more xrays (thank gawd she didn't charge for them.....saved $100 or so).  Now she'll email the xrays to the ortho for another look see.  We may need to go into see this vet....he/she is in Irvine.

She may need surgery or not...won't know yet.  She'll be in the cast for 2 months and no walks.....if the cast gets wet it needs to be changed immediately.  They gave us an empty IV bag to put over the cast.....clever.

She needs weekly bandage changes at the vet...husband is going to do that.  This is gonna suck rocks.
