@shell garden.........Hey......we get it.......it's very hot in your neck of the woods.....LOL    Stay in and stay cool.  Sis said it was very hot down in San Antonio yesterday too.

Yesterday was a very sad day for me.  Received a call from the niece of my former neighbor.  Know many of you might remember my mentioning Evelyn on here many times.  About 6 years ago her niece and SIL thought it was time for her to go to live in an apartment where she could be watched and be safe.  She was such a very special friend.  Her niece called to tell me that Evelyn passed yesterday morning.  She would have turned 94 this August 12.  This past 6 months or so were pretty rough for her, as she suffered a stroke and it was downhill from then on.  She had been placed in hospice 7 months ago.  She will be greatly missed.  She moved in the apartment across the drive-thru about 6 weeks before I moved in here.  We had been friends for almost 20 years.  She was a die-hard Cardinal fan also. 

That is the reason I wasn't on here yesterday.  Just didn't have it in me. 

Sounds like some of you had a rough day or 2.  Sorry about that.  Hope all is going well today for you. 

Don't have any plans for today.  Don't need anything from the store.....and it is supposed to be very hot here too.  So, will be home piddling around.  Tomorrow is laundry day, and then Friday is cleaning day.  Boy, those 2 weeks go by very fast.  Then you know what next Tuesday is. 

Hope everyone has a blessed day.....and remember to give someone a hug today and tell them you love them.

@ShowMe Sorry about Evelyn's passing...almost 94 ....that's a nice long life.  I am sure she will be missed.

It's lunch and I have some left over chicken that I am going to cut up and make chicken salad sandwiches and sweet ice tea.  Also some watermelon.  It's too HOT to eat much....

Hot, humid and expecting severe storms and hail this afternoon.  Yep, it's summer!  Can't move any of these dang boxes with all this rain.  Expect it tomorrow, too.  ARRGGGGHHHH!!!!!!!!
