@ShowMe, I also think that a couple of your recent meds since your fall could be the cause of your lack of appetite and weight loss. Just a thought. Maybe after your radiation treatments are done you can get into the dentist.

@dooBdoo, excellent suggestions about snacks by her bedside table.

@fourpaws56, waving hello and hope you, your family and kitty’s are doing well!

@Preds, you better be resting!

@MickD, congratulations on your sons graduation today! They grow up so fast!

I agree with you about the meds.  They do play havoc on our bodies.  As far as going to see the dentist, will have to wait on that until the tumor has shrunk.  No way could I sit leaning back in the dentist chair now.  But yes, new teeth would help with the eating situation.

@ShowMe ... Yes, his were 5 days a week with weekends off.  He just mentioned being tired after, but he gets easily stressed over a hangnail, so we think that was his problem.  Plus, he is always lazy.  LOL

Had no pain at all, so that's a good thing.  You'll do great, honey!

You are so funny......  hey hangnails can hurt.....lol.

Thanks for answering my questions.  Will be interesting to see how many treatments I will be getting.  Hope I can do as well as he has done.

@ShowMe, maybe you should also talk to Dr. G about getting some physical therapy at home to build up your strength.

I spoke with our fearless leader.  She had the appt with Dr. G today and she sounded really tired.  She's lost another 7 pounds in the last 4 weeks.

She has a radiation appt this Friday as Dr. G wants her to start radiation asap.  She doesn't think she's going to start treatment that day as they need to get measurements for the treatment, and I guess a treatment schedule, etc.

Dr G told her that she'll do 5 days of radiation in a row.....so she thinks she might start on Monday.  A social worker is going see if she can get transportation to and from.  That's all she knows right now.

Love you @ShowMe!  Gets some rest, and eat, eat, EAT!

Thanks for the informative update on ShowMe's app't, @MickD. I'm praying she does get transportation for the 5 days of radiation and that it helps her, with few troubling side-effects. 🙏

Then if the wound care specialist can attend to that in her own home, all the better. So important that she reserves her strength. So many app'ts while being so weak is exhausting, as well as stressful.

You are are such a good friend to keep in touch and relay the news to us! ❤️

Thanks......that's a good idea.  The last time I had PT at home my primary doc. is the one that ordered it.  That was after my fall.

Not sure if Dr. G can order it for me.  Will talk to him in 4 weeks.  I do try to do some of the PT things I had been doing, but boy it does wear me out.  Use that stretchy thing every day.  That gets my arms and sort of my waist area moving.

Will have to see what he says.....but probably wouldn't do anything about that until I'm through with the treatments.

I know you are looking out for me and you do have so many helpful suggestions.  I thank you for that.

I will try to reply on here too.

Will be getting transportation, but will have to wait.  The Social Worker is off tomorrow and she will be back on Monday.  At that time she will look me up and we will discuss the transportation situation.  It is a good idea to have that, as I can't ask Vera to come and get me, then get me home.  Will know more later on this.

As for the wound care.....Dr. G is going to wait on that until he knows more about what is going on with the treatments.  Will discuss that on my next visit with him.  Yes, all these different appointments are weakening and stressful....  Just dealing with the walker is stressful, and if I get transportation to and from, they can handle the walker for me.

Yes, Mick is a real sweetheart.

Well, I'm done for the day.  Got the kitchen all cleaned up, put in my grocery order and it has already been delivered and all put away.  And received my call from the Social Worker.  Will be learning more when I see her if I go in on Monday.

I am going to have a delicious BoresHead roast beef sandwich now.  I am hungry.  It looks so good and fresh.

When I'm done with that, am going to take a nap and get some rest.  Don't know if I will make it back on here today or not.

Re: SHOWME'S Mr. Lucky......

Dear, @ShowMe ~ it sounds like everything is falling right into place for you and your radiation treatments, to begin on Monday. With transportation provided! Could be that no additional wound care will be needed. What a blessing that would be! Sorry about the sweating. 😓 Know that is miserable, especially this time of year. During my hot flashes, I used to keep a terry towel under my pillow to use thru the nights, or early in the morning, when they seemed the worse. God bless Vera! So glad she'll be with you tomorrow. An extra set of ears never hurts.

I'll be back after Monday evening to check in with you and our sweet @Preds. Taking my knee scooter along with us on a long weekend for Father’s Day to the OBX of NC. I'll keep to the beach house and deck to avoid the sand, sweat, etc. though my stitches seem to have healed up fine. Just not risking any infection. Will do my PT there, too. Great idea that @loveschocolate has for you to ask about some light strength training at home. It could even help your appetite a bit. Enjoy your baseball!! Go, Cardinals! ❤️

@Preds ~ such good news that your ex is recovering so well! I'm happy for him and your DD. Can’t wait to hear the same awesome news on you! 🙏 Thank you for the gracious comments earlier. ❤️ Wish I were better at being pithy, though! It's all good, dear friend. We seem to always understand one another ~ that's all that matters. I'm TRYING to be a good patient despite the frustrations. Was afraid I would hurt someone with those crutches ~ for reals. On the upswing now. Keep up the good fight with your fierce spirit. One day at a time! ❤️

So glad you’re finally feeling better, @loveschocolate! I know what you mean about complaining here, while our friends are frying much bigger fish... but we sure miss you and worry when we don’t hear from you. ❤️

Hello to dear @dooBdoo! Good to see you back and even dealing with some painful issues that have silently haunted you. We all have those... When it comes to suicide, the hardest is when someone chooses it, regardless of knowing there is help available. Knowing people do love them and care, but they secretly plan it all out with no cry for help. Like my aunt, during my childhood ~ leaving my young cousin to grieve and question for years upon years. Not an irrational, spur of the moment impulse. Believing their loved ones will be “better off” without them.

The only kind of peaceful acceptance then is the knowledge that we were helpless to help. There was truly nothing we could have said or done to change their minds. Determined to go. Don’t carry guilt on top of grief ~ the grief is more than enough ~ and wish them eternal peace. A lot of “whys” will never be answered this side of Heaven. There are as many reasons as there are individuals who take their lives. I pray for your gentle heart's healing from the pain of losses... until you meet again. And you will! ❤️

Sending love and hugs to each and every one of you dear ladies here. ❤️❤️❤️
