It astounds me that people refuse to accept the fact that shootings like this are domestic terrorism and not better than any other type of terrorism.  The LV slaughter was domestic terrorist.  I think this is our new reality.  The ease and availability of guns makes it easy.

It's heart breaking AGAIN...and again...but I do not believe ever, there can be a way to stop men who do these things...crazy is crazy....unstable is unstable..... and obviously they want to die as well.... I don't care what their grievances are, taking other lives is insane.

I must have been naive because I thought that surely after Sandy Hook something would have been done.  When absolutely nothing changed it became obvious that this would happen again and again.  Obviously, nothing can prevent all of this slaughter, but it is well past time to do something.  Thoughts and prayers are not enough.  And I am a believer who believes in the power of prayer.

Those poor souls in Texas.  It’s all so senseless.

I for one do not want to attend mass with an armed  contingent of people waiting to shoot it out.

This isn't the wild west ,or the Ok Corral, it's a house of worship.

@chrystaltree All of the shockingly sad deaths caused by natural disasters in this country can be overshadowed by just one lone shooter...scares me.

People used to seek sanctuary,  by entering a church for protection. It was a place of safety and refuge from the storms of life

A priest tried to set up a shooting range, at one of the churches, in my area. The bishop soon put a stop to that, thank goodness

I  hope I never live to see the time guns are permitted  in my church.
