Re: SHIPPING DELAYS: Why is anyone surprised?

[ Edited ]

I don't see people surprised, I see them disgruntled. And I see the usual poster being contrary.

The backup IS much worse this year, not surprisingly. And really, did we need another thread about this in addition to my The USPS Is Screwed Up thread?

Re: SHIPPING DELAYS: Why is anyone surprised?

Not at all worried about late deliveries, I'm concerned about getting them at all.  Some are necessities.

Yesterday, Fedex delivered my box to the wrong house.  Emailed a picture of the house, specifically the steps where the box was placed.  Receiving a photo of the house is a first.

I don't recognize this house.

Walmart is sending an expedited replacement, but at $95, should the retailer be responsible for this mess?

This isn't an example of a shipper unable to make deliveries on time, it's incompetence.  Not only do I have a large house number on a street lamp close to the road, but also on the house, both clearly visible from the street.  The package was delivered during the day.

So, yes, under these circumstances, I think some of us have a right to be angry.

Seriously?   Just because YOU posted a thread complaining about the USPS, no other threads "need" to be started?  According to you.   Wow.

(Not to put too fine a point on it, but I wasn't complaining about the USPS, I was surprised that people are still surprised about shipping delays from ALL carriers.   Different topic, and you don't need to tell people what they can post... go find something else to complain about).  Ridiculous comment.

You would think this year among all years, people would learn to be patient and thankful just to be able to celebrate another Christmas, but some people are born to complain.

Re: SHIPPING DELAYS: Why is anyone surprised?

I ordered a Vera Bradley dog print mask for myself, free 2 day UPS delivery with Shop Runner.

Was delivered in 2 days to me today, in a snowstorm. By a guy in his personal vehicle. In my area UPS is using that to supplement their truck delivery. Great job, I was impressed.

@Tinkrbl44. I shouldn't tell you what to post but you TELL ME to run along? How ridiculous...and hypocritical. 😄
