Please reconsider the Mitsubishi unit-in your bedroom. You absolutely need sleep with quality here....

I just can't imagine quality sleep with those conditions.

Given your medical problems, and these unforseen high temps-I can't see you having too many discouragements...finally, insurance companies appreciate quality of sleep to health.

I am on C-pap and oxygen at night-big difference in quality of life-and life-saving...

Hugs,

How hot is it in San Diego?

I'm down by the bay (in a hotel with a/c )and my weather app says it's 99. The news blurb on TV just said it's 107 inland. I think it's time to head for happy hour.

@FrostyBabe1, that's unheard of San Diego.

I overdid today with my walking. I keep drinking water but still feel a little ill.

@Noel7@ it's time for you to invest in some kind of air conditioning unit....you have few sweat glands left-your health is at risk....you are beyond needing it for comfort-totally

Look into Mitzubishi AC....ductless-doesn't violate codes-and considering the heat you are dealing with, medically necessary. Please investigate.

I wanted to suggest @Noel7 get a few a/c quotes, too, @Poodlepet2.  The price may not be that prohibitive.  It helps a great deal with my allergies, although I know that's not the case for everyone.

ETA:  check out the system Poodle mentioned.

When I lived there in late 80's early 90's, we had 90 degree weather which I was not fond of at all.  If I remember correctly at the beginning of October the Fleet will be in which is always exciting.  Hope it cools down for you.Cat Very Happy

Is it supposed to go into a window?  Price isn't an issue, tearing out our windows would be.

The Chicago area was unseasonably cool today, with a high of 68. It was a pretty day, but not the type of day that we should be having at the beginning of September. It's predicted to warm up for 3 days (76,82,87)  cool down again for a couple of days after that (69.68,72) then warm up again.

The units are on the walls, not the windows, @Noel7.  You may be able to do just a few rooms, like your MB and LR.  We went with a traditional whole house a/c unit with our small house but a friend likes her Mitsubishi system.

New notice from the county - due to a change in the winds, SF Bay area all the way down to Monterey Bay will be breathing smoke from the NorCal fires. Unhealthy air.
