I have been unsubscribing from sites all day. I am sick of it! Sick of it I tell you!
I don't need e-mails every 2 hours from many of these retailers and I've just signed off and out. This is just absurd!
Are you getting bombarded in the last few days? I get the same ones over and over.

Yep. Probably is going to last until Christmas. I probably don't get as many as other people. I mark a lot of them junk so they automatically go there and I delete them as a group. I've unsubscribed to some, but it could be several days before that takes effect.
What makes me angry is the sites where you order something and they automatically start sending emails unsolicited. Even getting emails from some sites that I haven't heard from in 6-8 months.

It's what is known as "money hungry". And no, they won't stop. Even with the phone problems....getting tired of it all. Yes, the Q is included with this.....have had 4 emails from them today. Boy, the delete button is being hit a lot.....

Several years ago, I signed up for Unroll Me. Now, I choose what i want to look at in email solicitiations, if at all. Usually, I only look for coupons when I need them. Check out Unroll Me. Works beautifully!

I posted this last year but there are newer articles warning about this service online as well
Was very interested to try this but as soon as I Googled it saw this article. So I'm sharing it. I know you mean well recommending the service, just a heads up.
Warning:
Before using "Unrollme" please read this.

That Shifty Service: Please Unroll Me From Unroll.me
by Ray Schultz , Columnist
5/10/17
"Amanda Hess was in for a disappointment. Recently, like many other consumers, she signed up for Unroll.me’s email unsubscribe service, thinking that her inbox would soon be free of clutter.
Then, as she writes in today’s New York Times,
“the true cost of Unroll.me was revealed:
The service is owned by the market-research firm Slice Intelligence,
and according to a report in The Times, while Unroll.me is cleaning up users’ inboxes,
it’s also rifling through their trash.
When Slice found digital ride receipts from Lyft in some users’ accounts, it sold the anonymized data off to Lyft’s ride-hailing rival, Uber.”
Oh, how ignominious — one more piece of proof that digital marketers can’t be trusted.
The revelation is bad enough, The justifications are even worse. Unroll.me’s chief executive Jojo Hedaya calls it “heartbreaking to see that some of our users were upset to learn about how we monetize our free service,” according to Hess. Worse, the co-founder and former executive named Perri Chase, asks: “Do you really care? How exactly is this shocking?”
Well, we’ll tell you:
It’s shocking because Unroll.me claims that it protects peoples’ privacy, or at least reduces the aggravation from overstuffed inboxes.
Instead, it has this furtive side practice that does the exact opposite.
There’s nothing wrong with being in the list business as long as you call it what it is.
But Slice did something that is beyond the pale whether it’s done anonymously, and whether it’s stated in a privacy policy or not:
they sold data to a company on its competitors’ customers.
The list rental business is often unjustly pilloried, but it has a set of time-honored rules, one of which is that a customer list can only be used with the permission of the owner. It doesn’t seem that Lyft gave any such permission in this case.
And please stop whining that you have to do this to offer this free unsubscribe service. Unroll.me’s business model is your problem, not the consumer’s.....
........But let’s not get stuck in the history, or in the meaning of it all.
Unroll.me is like the fox that was put in charge of the henhouse.
And after all the blather and apologies, this looks just a little sneaky."

The poor mail lady or man. I must of got a hundred catalogs. As long as you ordered even once you are on their list. I very very will pay their price even here.

I had triple today than usual. I quickly glanced at who sent and then deleted all. I have some I need to opt out, but that's for another day.

@Sooner, I’m so with you! I went from 13 or so emails when I got up now it’s over 40, today 47! I’m unsubscribing from all that are a one and done. I’m even getting multiples now from the Q and HSN. Used to be once a day. They must be really desperate to sell, especially if I take into account how the Easy Pay times have been extended. JMHO!

My shreddable mail has also increased significantly, although I only shred only the address portion of the catalog or mail that identify us, so the rest goes to the dumpster. I also find that the requests for charitable donations have also increased but there are boy a few that I support, so the others get shredded. (Unfortunately, they don’t recycle in our townhome community.).
