I am here for now, but not sure about the future, I may lurk over on the new board, but may not sign up, at least not yet.

@Shelbelle  I was going to do the same but from what I understand they will be going private and locked, so no signing up then or lurking.

Re: SAFETY ON THE NEW FORUMS

I was surprised  you can google QVC community and  posts come up. These posts are on the internet not just here.

If you google your nic here and qvc, it takes you right to this board.

Re: SAFETY ON THE NEW FORUMS

Once the new boards are locked for viewing posts, does that mean that no one new could ever register going forward?  I thought they could, but no reading until registered.

Re: SAFETY ON THE NEW FORUMS

I started to sign up and then I stopped.  The information asked seemed too personal and I was not sure exactly who was getting the info.   I backed oui.  And then I got a Twich notice from my Lifelock account.  At this stage of the game I am not going to join.  I didn't like the list of things they wanted in order to sign me up.

Wish you all well.  Been a  long happy experience.  Hugs... bonnielu

@Johnnyeager- No. You still can register and join as a member of the group.  Just no more lurkers.

@qbetzforreal  I thought I read you couldn't sign up after the group closed.

Thank you for the above information @BalletBabe.

I do have a question with regard to ProBoards...If signed in and in a particular thread when clicking on the Action tab, it appears we can send a post to Facebook, as well as several other social media platforms.

I have read many posters want nothing to do with Facebook. Is this a security/privacy concern?

I had the same thought @magicmoodz -- I joined the Pro Forum but did express my concern that everything we post can be sent out to another social media site.  Not happy about that.

[ Edited ]

Do individual moderators have access to real names of those who sign up over there?

I opened a gmail account.  (It didn't ask for a phone number.)

But if I sent someone an email, my name would show up in their inbox, not the email address.

DO THE MODERATORS/ADMINISTRATORS HAVE OUR REAL NAMES ON THE PROBOARDS?

Maybe one (or all) can answer to that?

That is odd that they asked you for personal info.  I signed up and only had to give email, nickname and password.  I have a fake date of birth.  They have much less info on me than this board.
