I was surprised  you can google QVC community and  posts come up. These posts are on the internet not just here.

@Pecky -- People are all concerned about the safety on the new forum but these forums aren't any safer.  Once it's on the world wide web it's there to stay whether you delete it or not.

If someone wants to find out about you that bad, they can.  It won't do any good to delete your account and start over on the proboards.   I also don't think the moderators over there will be selling email addresses or doing anything unethical.

Sorry, I do not even know who the moderators are let alone be able to vouch for their integrity.

Do you know the moderators here and can you vouch for their integrity?  QVC has much more personal information here on you than the new board will ever have.

They also carry liability insurance should any of their employees engage in illegal activities.  Can the new boards say the same?

Everyone has to do what they're comfortable with.  No one is forcing anyone to join a board you have any questions or concerns about.

Everyone has freedom of choice.  It is okay if you do not care to sign up for the Proboards.

You will be missed but I would never want anyone to do anything they did not feel comfortable with.

No one is saying they are forced, yet many of peoples concerns are being brushed aside.  Hope it works out well for all.

Re: SAFETY ON THE NEW FORUMS

Just to be clear I know the minute we peruse the internet we are putting our "business" out there.  I, myself, am a victim getting 100s of emails each day.

I am just giving posters who like to keep their info private a heads up.

Re: SAFETY ON THE NEW FORUMS

Just a suggestion, but I would rethink the name of the new board.  Using the letter Q in the title may attract a certain group of people who are not interested in TV shopping or joining conversations with ladies to talk aout life's annoyances, joys or grandchildren.  In a roundabout way, this could be a safety concern.
