my Mom saved S&H green stamps for a Scotch Cooler

she got Plaid Stamps too.  i don't lnow which store gave the Plaid Stamps.

for grocery stores we had A&P, Bohack, King Kullen and later IGA and Gristede's

i like the old grocery markets with the tiny aisles.  they still have them in small towns

I don't remember this glue. When I was in school we used Elmer's. We would put it on the palm of our hand let it dry & peel it off.

Oh I LOVE this thread! . . . what great memories this brings back.  I remember sitting with my mom carefully pasting those stamps into books and then going to redeem them (and yes I remember those bottles of glue too!).
