So I took my grandson to school this morning (he's 8) he wanted to spend the weekend with me and go to church with me (he loves church and our Pastor is a NFL Hall of famer who my grandson loves !)  So after dropping him off I went to the gas station then to the grocery store and when I went to pay my grocery bill I couldn't find my credit card, realized I must have dropped it at the gas pump so I was freaking out !! I used another cc and went back to the gas station, no card turned in and not at the pump I used so I called the credit card company from my car and canceled the card. Thank goodness there were no charges on it except my gas purchase.

I got back home stressed from the loss of my card, searched my purse again ( 4th time) found my card in a pocket of my crossbody bag that I apparently had missed. Duh !!   But for my good news my son has been on Paxlovid and he's much better from being diagnosed with Covid earlier this week !  So for those who prayed with me for his recovery our prayers have been answered. ( I had no doubts) Thank you all and may God bless you and your loved ones as well.

Re: Ruff Start to my day But !!

So happy you found your card after so much searching. Same thing has happened to me before and it is unsettling. Glad your son is recovering from Covid so well...it is still out there and two of my sons are just getting over it, and a teacher I know just tested positive for it. Hope everyone is still being careful! The flu is making the rounds here, especially in schools.

@Goodie2shoes I'm so glad to hear your son is feeling much better, that you found your lost card - I know that feeling of panic well, and that you will spend time with your grandson this weekend.

Hope that the day progresses more calmly going forward!

take care,

Yes I guess you could say it's been a rough week but It's getting better especially since my son is improving. It's the 2nd time I lost my CC at a gas station. It happened a couple of years ago and i didn't know I lost it. Got home one evening after going to get gas and a lady called me saying she found my cc at a gas pump. I was surprised, checked my purse and it wasn't there. She told me she had a neighbor help her search online and found my phone#. She gave me her address, I tried to find her but couldn't so my son was able to find her home and got my card from her porch where she had left it for me. I canceled the card when she told me she found it, bought her a gift card and mailed it to her. That was another blessing

Good news about your son.  I have gone thru the same routine of looking for my cc about 6 times.  I am sure I checked thoroughly each time, I guess not.  Have a great weekend.

@Goodie2shoes  Glad your son is doing better.  My brother, who lives in CA and was recently diagnosed with cancer, got covid.  His doctor also prescribed Paxlovid and it worked very well for him too.

Like most here,  I have a wallet with designated card slots for credit cards and other similar cards. There are about 8 or 10 slots for cards.  I always keep my Visa card in the top slot because it's readily available when I need it.  I guess the last time I used it, I must  have thought I was putting it in the top slot, but apparently I pushed it in and behind my healthcare card which was down several slots.  The healthcare card is used only a few times a year.  Never gave it a thought that I could have pushed it into a different card slot behind another card, as none of the slots looked any different.

I wanted to order something online and went to look for my cc and couldn't find it.  Went crazy tearing my purse apart but didn't find it.  Was just about to call the CC company to report it, and my adult son found it when hw took all of the cards out of the slots. I honestly don't remember sliding it into a different place than where I normally put it.  I must have been distracted or something.   I totally agree, though, it's a horrible feeling when you think you lost it and someone has it.

@Goodie2shoes I recently had a panicky moment when I went to pay for a purchase at the grocery store. I went to take my dc from the slot in my purse where I keep it and it wasn't there. I started to madly look for it in the other slots and pockets without success. Just as I was about to tell the cashier I didn't have my card (with visions of everyone I would have to notify after replacing it) I saw it already inserted in the card reader. Jeez...obviously my mind was elsewhere. Glad you found yours too.
