I really hope this is not the case. I ordered one around 7 years ago and love that rug! Honestly, I thought this was one of the best lines QVC carried. The rug is beautiful and has held up to heavy traffic very well.

I was so surprised to see the very few products available. Even the sellers of new RP on eBay don't have a great selection. Very sad if they are being discontinued. or relegated to even fewer visits than they now enjoy.
If if you have a Macys near you they have a big selection of rugs all sizes, I just bought a new wool one for my bedroom most are 60-70% off.

Here is a site ESALE RUGS.COM that will ship for free and returns are free. They have hundreds to look at online. They are wonderful to work with.

Several members of my extended family have purchased and liked RP rugs, as have I, but truly, the selection here is a shadow of what it used to be. It appears this is YET another area and vendor QVC has opted to minimize and marginalize. Honestly, it's reached the point that QVC is one of the last places I look for anything. Their selection and variety is increasingly non-existent. I recently wanted some new rugs for several rooms and ordered from Home Decorators, while there was a special pricing and free shipping event going on. JCP lost most of my rug business when they opted to stop having many of them available to view in the stores. If I'm ordering sight-unseen on-line, then I'll go for better pricing. In the day, I used to get quite a few rugs from Penny's, but if they can't offer me the advantage of seeing them, then odds are they aren't going to beat prices and shipping costs I find elsewhere.

I bought them years ago and they are still going strong. Love them. I can only imagine how the quality has gone down, as has most everything these days. Try buying a kitchen appliance and having it last more than 5-7 years.

When I bought my house 7 years ago, I got RP rugs to go over my new hardwood floors.
They still look fantastic!
Another source I use is a division of Home Depot - Home Decorator Outlet.
I'm sorry to see RP go...they were quality!

I don't know what size of rug your looking for but Home Goods has good deal on well made rugs......
For wool try Sturbridge Yankee Workshop---they are pricey but they do have sales and sometimes coupon codes...they are nicely made---and are made here in the USA!

I think QVC's inventory simply reflect reality. Peoplare not not buying rugs like they used to.
Madny homes are now carpeted, and with newer laminate floors, wood floors do not need the protection they once did. Additionally. some people just do not want them (I am one of those people). Additionally, some people (me here again) have never found the RP designs attractive.
People need to recognize that times change. QVC no longer sells collectible dolls, art glass, or teddy bears because people are not buying them like they used to. This happens to be true for rugs and other things as well.
QVC, in order to survive, must change. For those who do not like it and are looking for retailers which fulfill their need of nostalgia, perhaps Vermont Country Store or Lehmans Hardware might be better places to shop (both great companies).

I think with the prefered style of hard floors over wall to wall carpeting that has developed over the years, people are still buying lots of rugs. But they are looking for cheaper rugs (and don't mind changing them out often, for a different look) and looking for styles that RP just wasn't bringing. For a long time, all their rugs looked basically the same, and I think the lack of variety may have reduced their sales.
I have a number of smaller RP rugs that I've had for probably 15 years, and they still look like brand new. Perhaps the fact that they never wear out has reduced the sales/selection at Q as well.
I hope their quality is still what it was, and hope they don't go away. Offering more styles might help.

Then I guess someone should tell Pottery Barn, Home Decorators and a myriad of other retailers that people are no longer buying rugs, because they continue to offer, and ostensibly to sell, a slew of them... If by 'changing to survive' one means that a steady diet of schlocky Christmas goods, over-priced food, mattresses, pricey house brand togs, vacuums, blenders, Philosophy cosmetics and the other ten or so types of goods offered in an endless rotation by QVC are the only things that can possibly keep them afloat, then all I can say is glub-glub-glub... Consumers are interested in and are purchasing far more than these sorts of items and if we aren't finding them here, then we'll simply be buying them elsewhere...
