glad they reached out to Harry. As John Lennon would sing

"give peace a chance". Happy birthday Harry.
I pray for healing for ALL involved.

John Lennon is an odd reference to make in this context, considering his "relationship" with his older son.

Oh my yes, because the UK, and most especially visiting secured royal residences, can't possibly be as safe as travel to Colombia, Botswana, Nigeria and so on... 🙄

Happy 40th Birthday to Harry!   I'm happy to read that his family reached out to commemorate his birthday.  i don't think Harry or Meghan are trying to keep the kids away from his family.   I think they are genuinely concerned for Meghan and the children's security when traveling in Great Britain.  Planes fly both ways and there are also virtual ways to stay connected.

I don't understand the "keeping the kids away" nonsense.  Planes DO fly both ways.

If there are security concerns would YOU take small children into that environment?  Of course not; neither would I.

Imo, the riff between Harry and William started long before Meghan was even in the picture. William is said to have a short fuse and Harry always had a rough time in the schools they attended. It really is time to stop blaming Meghan for all of the RFs issues.

no bashing, this is my opinion only

You are spot-on.

Some of Harry's more serious girlfriends were from other countries, so he'd have a way (or an excuse) to get out of that fishbowl.

Harry was looking for a way out a long time ago.  Of course the blame must all be Meghan's.  Sarcasm intended.

Planes do, indeed, fly both ways, and as long as H&M board private jets, despite encouraging others not to, they could board one to visit a secure royal residence if they really wanted to. Of course, someone might have to coax her out of the Windsor Suite at Heathrow, since she's obviously not anxious for said visit, and security is most likely the least of it. The public reception would not likely be pretty and she knows it.

She can be coaxed if it involves an award.  A preferably big, shiny award.

They blather on about danger and security yet they had no qualms about going to Nigeria and Colombia, which one could argue are much more dangerous than the UK. I think they're full of it. I believe M doesn't want to go there because she fears being booed which would hurt her huge ego.

Harry's 40 and getting a big inheritance! Yeah now he can stop whining and pay his own security. Team Willam all day every day.

@Nancy Drew  Not that big. Meghan will blow through that amount pretty quickly.

Re: Royal Family wishes Harry a Happy Birthday...

These comments about planes flying both ways always make me chuckle.

The concept of an elderly man in the throes of dealing with cancer and chemo...and the KING of a country to boot, along with the entourage that that entails is being considered on the same footing as a 40 year old who has displayed no qualms with air travel is to me laughable.
