Re: Royal Baby! Princess Beatrice/Edoardo Mozzi

Let's not forget the name of Edoardo's mom, Nicola Diana.  I really hope the Queen's full name Elizabeth is the first name.  Kind of fitting after the wedding the new parents had.

My prognostications have been way off lately, but I'll guess Isabella.

My faves are Arabella, Francesca and Giovanna, paying homage to Edoardo's Italian heritage.

Matilda... Oh for heaven's sake.

I guess I was out of it, I don't think I even knew she was expecting.

Best wishes to them all. And I sincerely hope they don't settle on Matilda...

I can definitely see 'Nicola' in honor of his mother, Diana, not so much since, well....you know.

That awful song, Waltzing Matilda, ruined the name, just like Regina was ruined by a vacuum, and, now no one with sense would name their child Alexa.

That auto change liked vaccine better than vacuum, so changed it, without even asking.

I don't care for that name either.  Wondering why Matilda is a popular suggestion for a name.  Is that currently a popular girl's name in the UK?

@haddon9  Don't know about the UK but it was my great grandmothers name who was born in the late 1800's. I guess it was popular then! I think some of those old fashioned names are coming back. Hey what about Mabel? That's what my GG Matilda named her daughter!

Oh no Matilda, Florence or Cecelia............too old!  I like the others mentioned, especially the Italian leaning ones.  Hope they move away from the more English ones.  We'll see.

Matilda reminds me of the movie by the same name. When I think of the movie I think of Agatha Trunchbull and the Chokie.

I also think of the song by Harry Belafonte. My grandmother used to listen to it.
