Russian olive

The much-maligned Russian olive tree produces tiny yellow blossoms in the spring.  For one month of the year (May), Albuquerque smells like a candy factory.

Not an "every day" scent, but it's one of maybe five things that keeps me here.

I grow basil, thyme, rosemary, parsley, mint, lavender and chamomile, so I love those scents. Love the smell of coffee brewing and choc. chip cookies baking.

There are so many.  Lemon, cinnamon, vanilla, lilacs.  To name a few.
