THEY are suing Keurig over the 2.0 K-cup exclusivity. They brought the suit. Even if Keurig wins the lawsuit, if Rogers has given out thousands of Freedom Clips (not to mention the other fixes) Keurig would not have stopped the determined K-cup lover from using non-registered K-cups, whether it was via Rogers or some other way.

It's getting lots of publicity. The Freedom Clip has been mentioned on Fox News and People in just the last couple of days. They had so much "love" (their word) from people ordering clips and coffee that the website briefly crashed :-)

It's been a huge PR mistake for sure, added to the fact that in some ways the functions of the 2.0 are less user-friendly and more primitive than the older models. 6 oz. of hot water at a time indeed ;-( And several mfg are coming out with less expensive copycat machines. They were just too smart for themselves - NOT.

I got some Fog Chaser but now afraid to use it as I do not want to chance coffee grind coming through the bottom if it rips or.. any suggestions?

I wouldn't really worry there, a k cup could fail as well. I had a whole box of emerils k cups that had loose or busted filters. I bought a huge box of the french roast from Costco a long time ago and not a single one broke. I buy the brand of beans, but the cups are just not strong enough for me.

Debc, thank you.. Since you like stronger coffee have you ever tried the Aeropress as it produces the best coffee I ever had..even better than French Press.

I haven't. French presses take too long and my coffee isn't hot enough for me. I figured the aeropress would be similar.

I have a 12 cup French Press which is great and it actually was faster than my Drip Gevalia machine, but for flavor extraction, I know of nothing better than the Aero.

I did try the fog chaser fro Rogers and it did not break through which was great..Thank you for giving me the incentive to try it.

4 am is just to early to mess with anything. I make my k-cups the night before. I'm done drinking coffee before 6 as a rule.
