The very young Roger Moore was perfect in "The Saint". The character was supposed to be super-sophisticated, and impossibly well-connected. Murders and other mayhem just "happened" to come his way for him to solve...

The catchy opening theme with the halo appearing above his head is iconic:

Great fairly recent interview with Moore, including him revealing he was never very confident about women! (@Dulwich, you definitely should have spoken to him! Who knows what may have come of that!).

@Pearlee I wish I had said something. You know I can still see that arm tanned, blue shirt sleeve rolled up as I followed the arm up to his face and eyes - what a nerd me that is - but I was very young and he was the first celebrity I had ever seen in the flesh.

Later DH was in music business and we met and worked with so many "famous" people but he Roger still remains such a lovely memory and gorgeous "hunk" aaaah keep me going while I am washing the floors!
