It's a beautiful time of year in NYC

I have only been to NY once.  2019.  Too much to do .  I was there 5 days at the Dominick with granddaughters and we barley left Soho and Time Square area.  I want to go back. The energy, the people. Certainly a City of its own. I woukd another 2 weeks, and then you couldn't see it all.womderful. My granddaughters still talk about it.

Yay!!  I'm going with my brother (DH is disabled and has no desire to go) to see the Christmas Spectacular in December.  It's been many years since I saw it.  The kids were in elementary school when we took them.

He wants to go see the tree too so we will make our way over to Rockefeller Center.

It is scenery like this that makes me appreciate our winter season. It also makes me nostalgic remembering all the wonderful times my mom and dad would take us ice skating (before we were old enough to go the the rink down the street by ourselves).

I have seen the Rockets at Radio City many times.  Their show is fabulous.

That said, I hate winter.  It's too cold and the dirty snow in NYC is not my favorite thing to see or walk through. IT seems it's always extra cold in the city.

I am a fair weather girl, but I love a good NYC show or theatre.

@shoekitty  I am from Philadelphia & have never been to its Gimbles Thanksgiving Day Parade.  Growing up, my parents always took us to Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.

I've never skatted at the Rockerfeller Center but my children have.  They can ice skate, I can a little bit but don't.

Wait!  I'm still enjoying the Halloween decorations outside the townhouses! I haven't made room in my head for Christmas yet (never having been one for this Christmas in July nonsense.) I've gotta pace myself....

Only thing between me and NYC is the dreaded NY Thruway 😩
