Above is the entire list of potential inductees.
Source: Rock and Roll Hall of Fame!
Much to learn about the evolution of Rock and Roll. I have bookmarked it to read later.

I'd definitely like to see Kate Bush be recognized. Many of these artists are way past due being inducted. I wouldnt include Jay-Z in the lineup.

A big YES for Carole King!

I am always so surprised that some I would have thought would have been in there long ago are just being nominated!
Maybe they have broadened the category of rock n roll?
But goodness-Tina Turner?!
Carole King? (though I can see why she may not have been thought of as rock n roll, maybe more folk).
What do you think?

@on the bayduring Tina Turner's solo career, she most certainly sang Rock and Roll. If you check the link I posted upthread it will give you an idea why she belongs there. Even Carol King.

I know, that's what I was saying too!
Tina Turner should have been in there years ago.

The two I'm surprised about are Carole King and Tina Turner. Would have thought they would have been voted in years ago.
Carole King's 'Tapestry' album was a huge seller back in the day, and she has written many songs for other people and been in the music biz forever.
Tina Turner. 'Proud Mary' herself singing with Ike and her solo career. She's been around forever. She was 'The Acid Queen' for crying out loud. She should have been in years ago too. jmho

@Posh Poodle What you said! Rush and Iron Maiden among my favorites. Maiden not worthy? Gimme a break!
