My experience with the robot vacuums is they work quite well except on carpet.

They appear to clean well on carpet but if you use the robot only for an extended period of time then use a regular vacuum (I have Shark), you may be unhappy with how much crud is collected that the robot was not picking up.

I knew going in that it wasn't going to be a replacement for a full size vacuum. But, it also depends on the measurements of suction power of the robot vacuum, pascals. My  Q Revo vacuum has a fairly high Pascal rating for vacuums under $1,000.

Obviously I can't speak to its longevity but so far I'm pleased with my purchase. I can see the dirty water and the amount of dirt and dog hair the vacuum is getting. It cleans my bedroom carpet and the den carpet quite well.  It has only struggled with one carpeted room and that carpet is a very thick dense plush.

BTW, for anyone considering a robot vacuum pay close attention to the PA rating. That is the vacuum suction strength. And that is what drives up the price of a vacuum/ mopping robot.  After doing days of research, I put a limit of $1,000 for my purchase. I came in one penny under that LOL. But Amazon had a $200 clipped coupon 🤗 The other amenities are up to the purchaser.

I just want to reiterate how much I LOVE LOVE my robot vac&mop.  Please, if anyone has been considering one, don't hesitate.  It has been life-changing for my husband and me.  And I have FOUR levels in my single story ranch so I have to interact with it more than someone without all those levels.  That's ok.  It's so worth it.  It's not 100% perfect.  More like 95% perfect.  Do your homework.  Watch YT vids.  Check Amazon for sales.  There was a $200 coupon to clip on the vacuum I chose.  Now I'm looking for a robot to dust for me Smiley Wink

@monicakm

I just purchased my first robot vacuum sweeper/mopper and ITA....LOVE IT! I just told my dh today that the next thing I want is a robot that dusts.

I did not buy a high end one as it is my first go with the technology. We also only have hard wood floors where I use my little robot.

It works so well, I am going to buy as Christmas presents for a few people.

That's great @kate2357 .  I'm glad you like yours.  Mine was a "gift" to my husband and me, from me.  I used part of my first SS check Smiley Happy  He has been vacuuming for a few years because of my various health issues, so, it was his idea.  Music to my ears.  I'm waiting on a small drone that maps out furniture and can dust.
