Robert Altman, Husband of First Wonder Woman, Lynda Carter, Has Died

In the Washington, D.C., area, the name Altman has a high profile (at least for those of us of a certain age). Not only was lawyer and business executive Robert Altman married to Lynda Carter, who was a ladylike and generous presence on the local scene, but his mother, Sophie Altman, created and produced the award-winning high school TV quiz program It's Academic. The show is still going strong after 60 years.

For some reason, I've always felt a bit of an emotional tie to Lynda Carter, and so I am feeling deep sympathy tonight for her loss.

May her husband rest in peace, and may she and their two children be strong.

What a beautiful family. That is too bad she lost her husband. So much sadness nowadays.

I always liked Lynda Carter so much too. I think of her as our first supergirl heroine of our generation.
