First thing is to think about what it could cost to send it back and prepare for the worst. So don't be shocked by the cost. If you want to ship USPS or any other shipper you can estimate the return costs online.

If you want to ship a bunch of things back together, get a box, weigh it all, find the best deal online, print the label and send it. You can even have it picked up. Look to see what's free and not free for pickup. With post office it is usually free if done when the mail carrier comes, not at a special time.

You rarely have to go to to the shipper now, and even if you do, use a prepaid label or at least have an estimate of what it will cost before you go. You can find out online. It is well worth your time to learn how to do this.

It costs a lot to ship things, shipping is slow now, it's hard for companies to get help. It isn't going to get better soon and it's going to get more expensive soon, and probably slower.

So far my USPS shipping has not at all been slow. I shipped 2 different packages Priority within the last week (one this past Mon the 20th) and both had only 2-day delivery! (The one I shipped Monday is out for delivery today). Both were sent from the Midwest to the east coast. Great service! In my neighborhood, in addition to my mail carrier's usual 2:00 pm delivery the Usps is making 2 extra package deliveries morning and evening ( I live in a big city). Kudos to the USPS this year (big improvement over last year!)

The USPS has been fantastic this year! I shipped two packages last week and both had only two-day delivery. One of these arrived at my doorstep today (Mon 20th), while the other will be delivered tomorrow morning before noon--great service from their mail carriers here in big cities too; it's not just us locals getting our stuff taken care of all alone anymore.

Overall the shipping has been pretty good. I returned something on Saturday he 17th (priority mail) ShopHQ received it on the following Tuesday. They are in the process of refunding me. I could have returned it via smart label, but wanted to be sure they received it, as it was expensive. As far as USPS, it's very, very good. Regular mail is the same....(slow) but packages have been arriving in good time span.
