August 31 will be the first day of school. I'll be back on campus. Right now, I'm still working at home. Everyone was relieved to come back to work at the office. My sister, my brother & my husband are back to work at the office. My husband will be at the office 3 days a week. The other two at home. I liked working at home in the beginning. Especially when it was cold and snowing. But I began to get tired of it. I miss the the other things going on at campus. They know I'm vaccinated. I had to let them know. Vaccination on the students are not mandatory (not right now) just strongly encouraged by the administration and the campus health. We have summer session now, but it's still online. Online classes will continue as it has since the 1980's. That won't change. CNN had an article about how some people decided to quit after finding out they have to back to the office, instead of continuing to work at home. They saved money on day care when they were working at home, etc. Federal government & some state government will continue to be half & half. Half the time at the office, the other half working from home. I'll guess I'll return their computer. I never liked using it. They'll let me know more later. But overall, I feel better back at the campus library. My sister who is a state government supervisor was happy to come back.I think I will. I've had enough.

@songbird @Working at home has been for our carbon emissions and global warming. It would be nice to see workers allowed to cut down their driving by keeping some work from home days.

Good luck as you go back to campus and glad you aren't disappointed. I went totally back to campus in March so two cohorts could continue to work from home. One has an elementary child and the other a compromised immune system. I was happy to be back on campus. Some days it was a ghost town, but less distractions for me. Enjoy your summer.
