Returning damaged item........never had this happen before.

I ordered a set of glass jars with special embossed lids from Amazon. Just got them.......and two of the jars were cracked. I immediately filed a grievance w/Amazon............and just got an email from the vendor asking me to send pictures of the damage before they could initiate any kind of replacement. Now these jars were only 40 bucks, mind you.

Luckily, I have an iPhone and was able to send the image........but what about people who don't know how to upload a picture to their computers and email???

I mean..........I understand that there is probably a lot of fraud out there..........and people file false claims..........but I think they're probably hoping that for 40 plus bucks, most people might just not go to the trouble.

QVC is so good about replacing damaged items. They've never asked me to take a picture before. Has anyone else ever been asked to provide proof before someone would send a replacement? I mean.............I'm willing to send the damaged product back if they provide a shipping label..........so why do they need a picture for a 40 dollar item?
