I recently returned an item using QVC return label.  It was picked up by UPS although the driver didn't leave a receipt.  In checking the tracking number on the return label with UPS and USPS, there is no tracking to be found.  I realize there are many items being returned this time of year, but I'm concerned my package is lost somewhere.  I'm concerned since this item costs almost $200.  Do I panic or just give it more time to show some tracking.

When using a QVC return label, you are to send your package back through USPS not UPS.

I'd give it more time---not sure if QVC really lets you know if/when they recieve a return, but UPS is pretty good about that---and it takes the q weeks to get a return done--one reason i don't shop here anymore.

@wagirl   ITA. I only order an item that I cannot find anywhere else....like Isaac, Side Sticth, etc. Definitely no more shoes and bags that have a huge shipping and return charge.

most items go back to QVC via USPS. i make sure to go to USPS myself and get a receipt for sending it back. that way i have proof.

liquids, battery items go back via UPS. i also do the same thing. i go to the UPS store and make sure they give me a receipt for my package.

you can also do QVC EASY RETURNS where you snap a photo or give QVC the return information online and they will process your return faster.

@sunshine45 believe that's what I did.

ETA returned via the QVC instructions you posted.  Customer Service rep coordinated the pickup.  Truck was from UPS probably because it was a large package -- Oster Air fry oven.

If you use the Q return label provided, the USPS Parcel Return Service tracking number is at the bottom of the label, make a copy of the label before you return the package.  You can track the package with this number.

@sunshine45

It was suggested here on the boards a long time ago...you do Not have to go to the post office if you are returning something for exchange or a damaged/defect.

I did what you do.....wait in line to make sure I have a receipt...

BUT you can schedule a free USPS pickup right at your house.

You get an email confirmation number when scheduled....you get an email when he picks it up.

So you DO have a receipt...in fact, 2 of them.

i haven't been to the PO for a return in 2 years now.  I was finding the PO rates higher than the return label fee.  I paid $8+ to return a bra that would have been $6.95 using the label!

Of course, if it is really small and you want to pay yourself....it might be a little less and DEF faster!

i never return it on my own dime. it is almost always cheaper to go to the post office or UPS, use the QVC return label, and get a paper receipt for the item i am returning. my main concern is getting that paper receipt as proof.

i am at the post office almost weekly for other business, so it really isnt out of my way to return my packages that way with the prepaid labels attached.

thanks for the information regarding an email receipt from usps if they pick it up at your door. does ups do the same thing?
