Returning Non Damaged Items?? - Heads up!!!

Please be aware that QVC now charges customers part of original shipping as well as return shipping rates when returning items that are not damaged, so you are getting almost double zapped for return shipping and handling.  QVC also cancels long standing auto delivery items and will not let customers post anything on this subject or give customers alternate options for cancelled item.  QVC's quality has gone downhill big time and as a very long time QVC shopper will not be shopping QVC as in past.  Too bad---QVC used to care but not any more.  All about the buck.

This policy has been in effect since mid-Feb and has been discussed extensively on these forums.

Actually the q charges the full amount of the original shipping, not part of it.  So you pay original shipping and return shipping.

To my knowledge, QVC notified customers by email and on their website extensively when these changes were brought in in February.  It was at the same time that they changed the amount they charged for S&H.  It was discussed at length on these boards.

If you're a "long-time customer", I'm very surprised you have only just become aware of this.

Well, they did just sign up.

I'm always highly suspect of anybody who just signs up, and their very first post is to complain.

These are the things they don't tell new customers.  You will find that some won't return things for this reason.  They were getting so many returns that they had to change their system.  This is the result.  We pay instead of them.

Just one more case of be careful what you wish for.  Many wanted lower shipping costs which they got but there was a price to pay--costs that Q used to eat.

It is also another case of "so what" until personally affected then it becomes a big deal.

Re: Returning Non Damaged Items?? - Heads up!!!

Old news here, but since it's here I can say that the new policy works well for me.  I don't buy much and I keep over 95% of what I do order.  Because most of what I have boughht has come with far reduced shipping, even though I had to return one item because of my own stupidity, the cost was only $3 more than it would have been under the old shipping policy.  We were always paying returns on the kind of mistake I made -  unless we're liars.

By the way, if the new policy saved me money - not a whole lot, but over $50 for my few orders, I'm sure, and it makes people think twice about ordering 3 items and returning 2 over and over again, maybe QVC will be better off in the long run.

Re: Returning Non Damaged Items?? - Heads up!!!

I rarely purchase clothes from QVC any more because those items for me could fall into a high return rate due to fit or quality issues.

I am careful with my purchases, doing price checks elsewhere on line.  If an item goes back to QVC now it is definitely because it is damaged or defective.
