Return to sender

I sent a package back after Christmas, it was an auto delivery which I decided I didn't want. I had forgot about it and when it can I didn't open it , I wrote on the package to return to sender. I have not received credit for it. I mailed another package the same day and I have received payment for that one. Has any body else ever wrote-- return to sender -- on the package?
