I'm considering retirement in June of 2014. It's not so much that I want to retire as much as I just don't enjoy what I'm doing anymore(at least not with my present employer). I was just wondering if any of you retired and then continued to work someplace else or "re-invented yourselves" so to speak. I'm not talking about the money. I mean just to have something meaningful to do with yourself. I'm not really a "joiner" and I'm afraid if I don't have somewhere to go everyday or so I'll get old fast. I'll be 60 when I retire. I do plan on volunteering and getting more involved with my church. I thought I might go back to school although I haven't decided for what. DH will also be retired and yes, we plan to travel but not on a daily basis of course. I'm a nurse who went back to school to teach special education when my son's were little. They're gone and doing well. i know this is just another "stage of life" but I can't help feel "Now what...?"
