We were fortunate to have a chain called "Jersey Mike's" open a business in our town.  The grinders and salads there are very generous and good.  Subway here has closed!

We enjoy Thai and Japanese food.  Our GC love Japanese food as well, and the takeout food is delicious, portions generous, and quite reasonably priced.

One our local supermarkets has a great soup bar, with a variety of soups, as well as premade salads and their packaged small main courses to be heated up at home.

So we eat out quite seldom,  and having access to reasonably priced prepared food has been great for two retired people.

Once in a while, we do go out for dinner at a restaurant we love.  The food is excellent and portions generous.  It is fairly priced, and the place is very charming.

We never do fast food.  At our ages, we have to be very careful how we eat.  And we spend our money carefully, as well.

All I remember of Smashbox was their wonderful primer and then on this forum, I found a a copy for the primer using Monistat CHAFFING Gel.  Used it for years till my complexion got so very dry.  Smashbox bought Becca.

Every fast food place is like that. My daughter is still talking about going to jack in the box 2 weeks ago and paying 81.50 for hash browns and breakfast jacks with no ham. I think it was for 7 people. Did you know their hash browns went up to,3.90@?  I pay 38.00 for 4 people for nachos at Taco Bell.  Who'd a thunk it?   Seriously.  I think the food at Taco Bell has doubled since Covid.  I am near Silicon Valley in California.  Everything is a few cents more if I go to My grands in Studio City, CA.

Have prices for food and goods ever gone down? Just wondering if there is a potential, based on future events, that prices could go down. I'm paying more attention to prices now. And not just prices but quality.  Prices have gone up while quality has gone down. Realistically, historically has that ever improve?

I was going to mention that a nearby supermarket has a great prepared food section!

My choices there are garlic tri tip (with horseradish sauce) and grilled salmon! When I order these I feel as if there is no need to actually eat out at a restaurant!
