@SandPiper I live with this on a daily basis, my daughter has schizoaffective disorder. This is a combination of schizophrenia and bipolar. She always takes her meds but sometimes they just don't work. She has been hospitalized twice in two different facilities, both bad experiences. When she is bad we keep her at home with round the clock supervision.

Tell your girlfriend to get a good doctor. The first one might not be the one. It will take a combo of meds, not just one or two. I wish them the best.

Thank you so much everyone for your prayers. I completely believe in their power.

@panda1234 Thank you for sharing the situation with your daughter. The more I read about this disease, the more scared I get for my girlfriend.

Sometimes the strength within you is not a big fiery flame for all to see. It is just a tiny spark that whispers ever so softly "You Got This - Keep Going"

Hopefully he can get medical/mental help soon ... unmedicated  he can do a lot of physical damage to himself, his family & strangers ... I would be afraid to be in the same house with him .... so sad.

@SandPiperPrayers for your friend and her son.  Thank you for being there for them.  Let's hope that he is able to get the help that he needs and is receptive to it.

The next time that I hear salt and ice together, it better be in a margarita!

@SandPiper On those bad days you just take it hour by hour and trust in God. On the good days do all you can because you don't know when the bad is coming.
