Idiots in this world - like they really give a flying fig - just another example of people with a serious lack of control and a serious weight of ignorance between their ears.
i saw him on the news - both he and another employee would not show their faces on tv they were so scared of what could happen to them if someone saw them out in public!

from looking at victoria's victories facebook page i see that the 'family' refused donations of formula for her feeding tube and other medical supply donations in lieu of money. i guess that should have been a red flag from the get go.

Some people have some serious issues. They scare me more than the alleged customer who was "scared" by Victoria. All the self-righteous people like that - guarantee they are the least to help out the poor, the homeless, etc. The over-reaction is almost a justification, to them, to atone for what they don't do for their fellow humans (and animals, too).

What a shame. The employees and patrons of the restaurant were made out to be the bad guys and someone on this board even asked where was their "Christian" compassion for this girl. Pffft, all along this little girl is once again a victim of her own family. Disgusting and shameful.

I hope they return the money. Or at least give that option.

I saw it on the news, it was such a shock. It never even occurred to me that the story could be a hoax. The child definitely has facial injuries but there was nothing "scary" about it; I didn't believe any KFC customer complained. I thought it was an over zealous, insensitive KFC worker. Not a hoax. But, it doesn't surprise me. Here in the USA, when something touches our hearts, when we sympathy or sorrow for someone; we have a tendancy to shower them with money. We can't "fix" what's wrong, so we donate $25. It's shouldn't surprise anyone that there are heinous people like that child's Grandmother, who will take advantage of that. But....the money was for an injured child, she's still injured, she still needs help. The money should be put into a trust account for medical expenses that the parents/family have no access to.

Interesting. I agree, that should have been a major red flag.

They have been discussing this on the morning news shows. I think it is really sad if this was a hoax, and it appears that it was. I'm sure the grandmother was desperate to get help and financing for her grand daughter's surgeries and recovery, but lying and defaming a company is not the way to go about it. It seems that they have looked through all the video footage and there is no evidence that the grandmother and the little girl were even in the restaurant on the date and time the grandmother claimed this took place. Clearly she is not a very smart woman, and is not aware that everything we do in public is recorded these days. I feel so bad for the little girl, first her injuries were because of her own grandfather's dogs and their lack of responsibility. This little girl is not at fault, and I think KFC is very admirable that they have said they will still donate their $30K regardless of whether any fault is to be found with their company or not. I hope this precious little girl gets the help she needs.

I'm sure if this little girl needed money for medical expenses, people would have stepped up and donated. There was no need to do what they did...
