All I can say is, "It depends."

 

It depends on your stage of life, your finances, your desires, your whole situation.

This probably applies whether you are considering home ownership, renting, purchasing a handbag of any quality or price range, renting the same, or for anything else.  Different situations call for different approaches.

 

And that's just one reason why I think those "yay or nay" threads that seem so prevalent make no sense.  Why is everything a contest?
