Re: Remember the Albuquerque Balloon Crash?

I've been to this event one time and it was beyond amazing.

We have a sort of thing like this (only it's a race for one balloon to get to some spot or something - can't recall), and it's like a small percentage of the size and splendor of the Albuquerque one.

Handling a hot air balloon takes concentration and you have to know what you are doing. You must control the dang thing. They aren't controlled by someone on the ground. Testing sounds like the only way to know the pilot isn't on something.

Re: Remember the Albuquerque Balloon Crash?

We have one in Maryland during Preakness week.  An actual balloon race. One year, the balloon landed in a neighbors back yard.  We all were there watching it. The guy that landed offered my neighbor a bottle of wine.
