Not a fan, but I sure did like the Whitesnake videos back then. The article didn't state why she passed at 59. Such a young age.

She was married to Whitesnake frontman David Coverdale back then. I think she had some pretty serious drug issues, at least while she was married to him. I'm not sure if that contributed to her early death.

Wasn't she in rehab for a drug dependency problem a few years ago?

@tends2dogs She was an actress. Her most well-known role was probably in the comedy Bachelor Party with a young Tom Hanks. She played his fiance.

From Wiki:
Personal life and death
Kitaen dated Ratt guitarist Robbin Crosby during and after high school. She followed the band to Los Angeles in the late 1970s to pursue a career of her own. Kitaen married Whitesnake singer David Coverdale in 1989. Coverdale and Kitaen divorced in 1991. Kitaen had an adulterous affair with O.J. Simpson while he was married to Nicole Brown Simpson.[14]
Kitaen was married to baseball player Chuck Finley from 1997 to 2002. In 2002, she was charged with domestic violence for an incident involving Finley, whom she had kicked in the face repeatedly with high-heeled shoes.[15] Three days later, Finley filed for divorce.[15] After a plea bargain, Kitaen agreed to "enter a spousal battery counseling program and avoid contact with Finley."[15] The couple had been married for five years and had two daughters together.[16]
In November 2006, prosecutors charged Kitaen with possessing 15 grams of cocaine in her San Juan Capistrano home in Orange County. The authorities said her two children were home at the time and Kitaen had given deputies permission for the search.[17] In December 2006, she entered a six-month rehabilitation program in exchange for the dismissal of a felony drug possession charge.[18][19][20]
On September 26, 2009, Kitaen was arrested for driving under the influence in Newport Beach, California.[21] The following July, she pleaded no contest to misdemeanor DUI and was sentenced to two days in jail, ordered to attend a first-offender alcohol program, and required to perform 64 hours of community service.[22]
On May 7, 2021, it was announced that Kitaen had died at her Newport Beach home at the age of 59.[23]

Oh wow...too young.
Yes, I sure remember her, the Whitesnake videos too.
Sad if she was still battling addiction problems that led to her death...though I know I'm speculating. RIP

Born, raised and lived in So.Cal. until 2010. She was often in the news and never for anything good. She was charged with domestic violence once and had lots of drug problems.
