I only watched about 20 minutes of this, but I agree 100%. He seems very sad and lost, and it would not surprise me at all if in the future they end up divorcing!!!!! You're right. In the 50's and 60's it would have been unheard of. Not to mean that it never happened, only that you never would hear about it.

Like another poster said, he is probably waiting until both girls turn 18..... then he will leave. They did the interview for $, because I am sure it's hard for them both to get a decent paying job. Mary does talk child-like, and probably controls Vili's every move.

Along those same lines, when Barbara asked Vili about Mary, his response was: Mary is Mary. She's late to everything. Neither had good things to say about each other. If anything, Mary is in love with him, but it seems he doesn't share those same feelings.

IMO it was obvious he does not like the limelight. He was uptight about that, not necessarily her. He did not like being questioned, either.

He said he felt safe with her, it's where he wanted to be. He has a long history of a bad childhood and serious depression. You don't take someone like that, put them in front of a camera and expect charm and openness.
