Well, I don't know  if I'll be here or not, but I will see if anything is going on.  Some folks will be alone and just need little connection or something. 

As far as offending or posting nasties ... consider mine done. LOL  Unless I show of my expanded belly from eating more than I should and not as much as I'd like.

Just in case y'all aren't here and poor Melvin is, I want to wish you all a wonderful Happy Thanksgiving or just a peaceful day of joy and no trolls.

First I'll say that I don't think I was here that day so I don't remember that situation but I've seen it here a zillion times.

One thing about many on this board is that they will always feed a troll.  They will give the troll exactly what it comes for.  Many of us try to tell people every single time to NOT engage and then the troll doesn't get what it wants.  But every single time...

It's really even more frustrating than the trolling, that numerous people will feed it and feed it and feed it.  It must be a lot of fun to be a troll on this board. On most boards everybody just completely ignores it and they just don't come back because that's no fun for them.

This forum is a gold mine for these posters. QVC welcomes them and sets the forums up to happily receive them. Note I said QVC, not the moderators. 

When you say “many of us try to tell them” - THAT, apparently is a BIGGER no-no than the actual games that go on. It is apparently NO LONGER ALLOWED to even suggest that this is occurring. Never mind how many ignore it anyway because a good old-fashioned meltdown is more fun, I guess.

QVC appears to have NO problem with these posters, and honestly doesn’t want to hear it/doesn’t want to know, UNTIL someone uses 4-letter words. If you don’t use 4-letter words and don’t express total bigotry, you’re good to go here, as far as game-playing. Game-playing is not a no-no here, and the game-players are very well aware of that.

The derogatory comments to posters in general was yes, inappropriate,

but it was the profanity which was the worst. Spaces between the letters

so the word was clearly written. 

Really bad. Made the QVC Community Social Team appear very incompetent. Hope they learned from that mistake.

            @sidsmom, I sent a flurry of email messages to the various Q support addresses, too.   There was no one on duty.   Very bizarre and unprofessional of QVC to simply go missing for a couple of days.  (eta:  I feel the blame goes to the PTB at QVC who chose to have no moderators on duty those days -- not the Q Social Team's fault.)   Your post reminded me and I looked...  although that person's disgusting posts are all gone, some of his/her images are still resident in the profile as reminders that this wasn't the garden-variety game-playing.   I've seen some disturbing activities on these forums over the years but I really feel that was the worst of the worst, and unfortunately many posters continued replying and bumping the offensive threads up and up and up to the delight of the troll.    I hope they don't permit such an opening again.
