I do not think anyone will be on this on Thanksgiving Day...peeps will be eating and shopping and with family.

Sorry to disappoint anyone reading (not meaning anyone who has posted so far) who thinks this gives them carte blanche to dive bomb the forum with gar bage, but there will be at least one moderator working on Thanksgiving because they’ve said so. I’m assuming they won’t be the only one.

I’ll be posting on Thanksgiving. We’re not leaving for my sister’s house till noon. A few hours with them then back home.  I’ll have plenty of time to post. 

I might wander over to Target Thanksgiving evening. Depends on how my “have to have surgery knee” is doing.

I'm not sure but Melvin@QVC (moderator) asked posters what they were doing for the holiday because he would be working.  Not sure what forum I saw it but it was recently.

I saw where Melvin said he was working on Thanksgiving.

 I hope they shut the forums down for Christmas this year, since QVC is closed for the holiday.

Last year on Christmas Day was horrible. We had an evil visitor who posted vile things and instead of ignoring him, the regular posters also all broke rules to debate him.  It was horrible.

Lots of posters fell for the bait and just couldn’t let it go.  They fed the troll very well.  It went on and on for hours.

So,  it has been proven that the boards need a mod on duty or all hello will break loose.

None of which affected the 90% of posters and readers who were either not here or just laughed, winced, or let it go. If you want to be annoyed at someone, IMO it should be those who either feed the trolls or run around posting that the sky is falling because they saw a 4-letter word on their screen.

Adults should be able to get a grip and ignore obvious trolls - and if they literally can’t bear to see any inappropriate content, ever, then perhaps a single day is not their issue. No one is forced to go into the threads and read all the responses - that’s a clear choice. Some people love being offended. Gives ‘em a thrill.
