What about raw kale ingested with apple cider vinegar and eaten during a full moon?

I got mine on Monday. I thought I had to wait a year for insurance purposes. The pharmacist said that with my insurance, (Not sure about any others) I don't have to wait a whole year and that I should get mine in September of next year.

Found, I haven't read all the responses here.

I don't know what you mean by "intradermal" shot. What is that. I could look it up but I'd rather ask you. :-)

The shot is injected into the skin instead of into a muscle.

I have only been sick once in 10 years and that bout lasted for only 4 days...I assume it was flu although I was never tested so I really don't know. So, yes there are some extremely healthy people who just don't get the flu despite not getting vaccinated.

Ah. Thanks. I did not know that.

I'm with you. I've had the flu (also assuming that's what it was, based on the symptoms) exactly once in my entire life, and that was 10 years ago. I did not move from my couch for 3 days. If that changes, I'll reconsider my need for a flu shot. For now, it's not necessary, for me.

And Costco offers the cheapest shots too! My insurance covered it...but if someone's doesn't...the shot is 14.99 at Costco vs. 31.99 at CVS.

Can anyone get it at Costco or do you have to be a member?

I am seriously considering getting 1 for the first time ever.

CVS gives them free of charge in my area. Not that I'm getting one.

If you read the fine print the signs say "No Cost Flu Shots with most insurance." That means "eligible patients will not pay any copayments unless otherwise required by their plan because most plans cover flu shots as a preventive service. This means you may not pay anything for your flu shot."

Well, my best friend, her husband and both her grown children got their flu shots about a month ago.

Her daughter who is away at college called her because she's sicker than a dog, running a 104 temp and can barely move. My friend told the daughter to get herself to the clinic on campus.

She is now hospitalized with a horrible case of the flu. Apparently she caught a strain the shot didn't cover. {#emotions_dlg.ohmy}

It has been all over our local news that 28 people in Central Ohio have been hospitalized already with the flu, more than double the number from this time last year.
