Tylenol and Hydrocodone are almost like doing nothing.

Fortunately for me I don't have to deal with that.

Maybe the doctor who told you what NOT to use can refer you to a pain management specialist.

Good luck.

My Rheumatologist pretty much dismissed me to go to GP. They did consult with me but since no one can find much help I was looking for additional information to work with.My medicine cabinet could be mistaken for a drug store.

I have had this for a VERY long time and gets VERY stressful coping with these things.

Please look into Chinese herbs... I used them to replace strong drugs and aspirin after my double knee replacement. Perhaps find a Chinese practitioner who can suggest combinations that help with severe pain.

Did he suggest taking a PPI, like Prevacid etc to heal the ulcers?

Usually if you are taking a PPI, you can use Ibuprofen periodically.

But still be careful and consult your pcp - some herbal remedies do not mix well with scripts or even otc meds. I do agree that there are natural remedies that can be beneficial, though.

(I meant those considering using herbal remedies, not you in particular.)

I took omneprazole for the duration while taking Diclofenate. A couple years +. Forgot to mention Fibromyalgia also a problem.

A few years ago Mayo Clinic told me some things cannot be explained BUT there $15,000.pain clinic might be helpful.

Can you use topicals like Tiger Balm and arnica? When my arthritis keeps me awake Tiger Balm usually does the trick.
